
The Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) expresses deepest condolences to the families of the victims of a terrorist attack in Kharkiv, Ukraine, on 22 February 2015 that targeted a peacеful march commemorating the first anniversary of the violent attacks on EuroMaidan participants in Kyiv and remembering the Nebesna Sotnia, the indviduals who made the ultimate sacrifice for Ukraine’s future.
The attack claimed three lives, including a 15-year-old boy, and injured eleven.
“The Ukrainian World Congress urges the international community to assist Ukraine with the protection of its civilian population from relentless terrorist activity by Russia-backed proxies which aim to instill fear in citizens, further destabilize other regions of the country, and threaten to destabilize all of Europe,” stated UWC President Eugene Czolij.
