On 26 July 2017, Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) President Eugene Czolij issued a letter of congratulations to Ambassador Kurt Volker who was appointed on 7 July 2017 United States Special Representative for Ukraine.
In his letter, the UWC President endorsed the initial assessment by Ambassador Kurt Volker of the situation in Eastern Ukraine and welcomed the decision of the United States to engage in resolving the crisis resulting from the Russian aggression in Ukraine.
“The Ukrainian World Congress wishes to continue working with the United States on furthering the implementation of the Minsk agreements to secure the territorial integrity of Ukraine, and ensure peace and stability in the region,” stated UWC President Eugene Czolij.
