UWC President addresses Meeting of Heads of Ukraine’s Foreign Diplomatic Missions

Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) President Paul Grod addressed participants at the Meeting of Heads of Ukraine’s Foreign Diplomatic Missions, held this year in Kyiv under the theme “Restoring Peace and Ukraine’s Leadership.”

In his remarks, Grod outlined the UWC’s three key priorities, developed in coordination with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the Government of Ukraine, the Verkhovna Rada, and Ukraine’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

He said the first priority is securing Ukraine’s victory through continued military, economic, and political support, stronger sanctions against Russia’s war economy, and the confiscation of frozen Russian assets to help Ukraine.

The second priority, Grod said, is strengthening Ukraine’s resilience and recovery. He stressed the importance of protecting the country’s energy system ahead of what is expected to be another difficult winter while expanding access to new markets and attracting investment to boost the economy.

Grod also emphasized the importance of strengthening the global Ukrainian community, saying that millions of Ukrainians living abroad must preserve their national identity and continue building strong, united, and influential communities that advocate for Ukraine around the world.

“Integration – yes. Assimilation – never. We need strong, united, influential, and patriotic communities and institutions that will inspire future generations. These are the people standing up for Ukraine in the capitals of the world today, and they will continue to defend and help rebuild Ukraine tomorrow,” Grod said.

The UWC also thanked Ukraine’s diplomats for their efforts to strengthen ties between Ukraine and Ukrainian communities worldwide.
