UWC PRESIDENT GREETED PARTICIPANTS AT THE XVIII WORLD CONGRESS OF THE UKRAINIAN YOUTH ASSOCIATION
Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) President Eugene Czolij greeted the participants at the XVIII World Congress of the Ukrainian Youth Association (UYA) which was held from May 12-15, 2011, in Palatine, USA. The UWC Secretary General Stefan Romaniw and Media and Public Relations Chair Irene Mycak also attended this Congress.
The UYA is a UWC member organization which educates Ukrainian youth according to high Christian and national ideals.
In his address at the banquet, Eugene Czolij noted the multifaceted activities of the UYA and highlighted the positive role it plays in developing the global outlook of Ukrainian youth. He called upon the young members of the organization to familiarize themselves with Ukraine’s history, stay abreast of current events, and defend the interests of Ukrainians in Ukraine and the diaspora.
The UWC President also greeted the newly elected president of the UYA World Executive, Peter Duma, from Australia, and the entire executive, and conveyed his best wishes for strength and inspiration to ensure the continued success of the UYA activities for the benefit of Ukrainian youth.
