Volodymyr Zelensky’s Chief of Staff Andrii Yermak said in an interview with Interfax Ukraine that it is vital for Ukraine to end the active phase of the war before the winter, as there is a risk of Russian strikes on the thermal energy infrastructure:
“Of course, such risks persist throughout the war. The Russian army continues to attack the objects of our infrastructure. This is one of their goals, they don’t even hide it. So that’s one of the reasons why we want to take maximum measures to end the active part of the war by the end of the autumn.”
