On 24 September 2018, Director of the Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) Mission to Ukraine Serhiy Kasyanchuk addressed the 4th Regional Conference of the Parliamentary Network on Diaspora Policies of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe that was held in Kyiv, Ukraine.
The UWC Director spoke during the plenary session titled: “Creating conditions for a greater contribution of diasporas to their countries of origin: government policy and national mechanisms.”
In his presentation, Serhiy Kasyanchuk shared the experience of the UWC in building relations with Ukraine, particularly with its governing authorities. He also emphasized the main priorities for strengthening the legal and regulatory foundations as they relate to the diaspora.
Participating in the event were representatives of the governing authorities of Ukraine, particularly the government and parliamentary sectors.
“We are prepared to further all established ties for the development of continued successful cooperation of the Ukrainian World Congress with governing authorities and civil society in Ukraine,” stated Director of the UWC Mission to Ukraine Serhiy Kasyanchuk.
