New Ukrainian missile destroys Russian air defense system in Crimea

A new Ukrainian-made missile destroyed a Russian S-400 Triumf anti-aircraft missile system in occupied Crimea. Oleksii Danilov, Secretary of Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council, reported this.

“The missile was new, completely modern. Its use proved that [it’s a product of] our defense industry, our programme, which was launched in 2020… This is our new product, which showed itself absolutely flawlessly,” Danilov explained. 

Explosions thundered in the occupied Crimea on the morning of August 23. A Russian long- and medium-range S-400 Triumf anti-aircraft missile system was destroyed near the village of Olenivka on Cape Tarkhankut. The Ukrainian projectile also destroyed the missiles, and the crew was killed.
