Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk addresses 69th session of the UN General Assembly

On 24 September 2014 Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk addressed on behalf of Ukraine the 69th General Assembly of the United Nations in New York, U.S.A.

 

 

In his address, Prime Minister Yatsenyuk called for Western countries to leave in place the sanctions against the Russian Federation until Ukraine regains control of all of its territory, including Crimea. He called upon the Russian Federation to withdraw its army from Eastern Ukraine, stop backing the terrorists and fulfill all 12 points of the Minsk Agreement. In conclusion, the Prime Minister of Ukraine addressed the President of the Russian Federation: “Mr. Putin […] you will never win the fight against the nation, the united Ukrainian nation.”

 

In attendance during this session of the UN General Assembly were Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) President Eugene Czolij, UWC Vice President and Deputy Chair of the UWC International Council on UN Affairs Tamara Gallo Olexy, member of the UWC International Council on UN Affairs Andrij Dobriansky, and representatives of the Ukrainian community in the U.S.A. who greeted Prime Minister Arseniy  Yatsenyuk.

 

The UWC President assured the Prime Minister of Ukraine that “the UWC and its member organizations will urge the leaders of their countries of residence to positively and concretely respond to Ukraine’s appeal as presented during the 69th UN General Assembly.”
