Ukrainian World Congress welcomes signing of the political provisions of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement
The Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) welcomes today’s historic signing of the political provisions of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement during the European Union Summit in Brussels, marking an important step toward Ukraine’s full Euro-integration.
This event demonstrated the solidarity of the EU with the Ukrainian people in the current complicated situation in Ukraine, specifically with respect to Ukraine’s territorial integrity.
The signing of this agreement is testimony to the victory of the Ukrainian people who determinedly, beginning in November of last year, fought on EuroMaidans throughout Ukraine for the right to live in a truly democratic and European state.
The EU-Ukraine Association Agreement creates great possibilities for the implementation of the immediately necessary reforms and the further modernization and Europeanization of Ukraine.
“The Ukrainian World Congress will continue to fully support the aspirations for Euro-integration of the Ukrainian people and for the implementation of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement to quickly lead to Ukraine’s full membership in the EU,” stated UWC President Eugene Czolij.
