The Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) is alarmed by the shelling on 28 May 2017 by Russian Federation-backed terrorists of the town of Krasnohorivka, Donetsk oblast, Ukraine.
As a result of the shelling, which lasted for several hours, civilians were injured and dozens of residential buildings and town infrastructure, including a hospital and school, were seriously damaged.
“The Ukrainian World Congress condemns this attack on the innocent civilian population of Eastern Ukraine by Russian Federation-backed terrorists and calls upon the international community to increase the sanctions against the Russian Federation for repeated acts of aggression against civilians in Eastern Ukraine,” stated UWC President Eugene Czolij.
