UWC President and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine sign Action Plan

On 9 June 2015 Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) President Eugene Czolij and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin signed an Action Plan for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and Ukrainian World Congress in the framework of the Memorandum of Cooperation between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Ukrainian World Congress from 28.08.2014.

The Action Plan outlines the coordination of strategies and projects for both the UWC and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, including on the following points:

  • To further the realization of foreign policy priorities of Ukraine, and strengthen the effective and mutually beneficial cooperation between Ukraine and the countries in which Ukrainians reside;
  • To further the dissemination of factual information about Ukraine throughout the world;
  • The UWC encourages the international community to provide assistance to Ukraine, particularly, with the initiation and implementation of a wide range of humanitarian  projects;
  • The UWC contributes to the effort to secure the release of Ukrainian political prisoners in the Russian Federation, and specifically Nadiya Savchenko and Oleh Sentsov.

“The Ukrainian World Congress welcomes the signing of the Action Plan with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine as another positive step in the continued development of effective relations between Ukraine and Ukrainians worldwide for the benefit of a free, democratic and Euro-integrated Ukraine,” stated UWC President Eugene Czolij.
