UWC welcomes Agreement on the Settlement of Crisis in Ukraine
The Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) welcomes the signing on 21 February 2014of theAgreement on the Settlement of Crisis in Ukraine.
Signed by President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych, and opposition leaders Arseniy Yatseniuk, Vitaly Klitschko and Oleh Tiahnybok, and facilitated on behalf of the European Union by the foreign ministers of Poland, Germany and France, it is a critical step toward ending the violence and returning peace and stability to Ukraine.
“The Ukrainian World Congress calls upon all signatories to today’s agreement to steadfastly adhere to the agreed upon terms,” stated UWC President Eugene Czolij. “The Ukrainian World Congress also urges the international community to support Ukraine as it embarks on the implementation of democratic reforms based on European values.”
