The Russian military is on the edge of Lysychansk, but according to British intelligence, its efforts to capture the western part of the Donetsk region remain unsuccessful.
Since June 19, Russian troops have probably advanced 5 km towards the city of Lysychansk.
Intelligence notes that some Ukrainian troops were forced to withdraw to avoid being surrounded, and the occupiers were able to advance in this direction, probably due to the recent strengthening of units and the high concentration of shelling.
Russian troops are also putting increasing pressure on the Lysychansk-Severodonetsk vector “by their creeping advance along the outskirts of built-up areas.” However, their efforts to reach a deeper environment to capture the western part of the Donetsk region remain unsuccessful.
