On 15 January 2015, this Day of Mourning in Ukraine, the Ukrainian World Congress expresses condolences on behalf of Ukrainians worldwide to the families of the victims of the attack by Russia-backed terrorists of 13 January 2015 in Donetsk oblast, Eastern Ukraine.
At least 10 passengers were killed and 13 were injured as a result of a rocket attack by terrorists of the so-called Donetsk people’s republic against a civilian bus near the checkpoint Volnovakha in the war-torn region.
“The Ukrainian World Congress condemns this killing of innocent civilians and urges the international community to strengthen its resolve in helping Ukraine end the unabated violence being inflicted on the people of Ukraine by Russia-backed terrorists and preventing further loss of life,” commented UWC President Eugene Czolij.
