The Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) strongly supports the governing authorities of Ukraine in calling for the international community to prevent further violations by Russia and its proxies of the Minsk agreements.
Despite the Minsk agreements, Russia and its proxies continue their offensive in Eastern Ukraine as evidenced by the continued shelling in the areas of Debaltseve and Donetsk. In addition, the Russia-led militants blocked the OSCE mission to monitor the situation.
“The Ukrainian World Congress calls upon the international community, including the European Union and NATO member states, the UN and the OSCE to urgently take the necessary measures to ensure the fulfillment by Russia and its proxies of the Minsk agreements of 5 September 2014, 19 September 2014 and 12 February 2015 and to provide Ukraine with defensive weapons for the protection of its borders,” stated UWC President Eugene Czolij.
