This year the Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) is marking 45 years of activity uniting the global Ukrainian diaspora while contributing to the achievement and strengthening of Ukraine’s independence.
We invite everyone to a celebration of our 45th anniversary during a gala banquet to be held on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at St. Joseph’s Ukrainian Catholic Church and Heritage Centre, 300 River Oaks Blvd. E., Oakville, Ontario, Canada. Cocktails 6 p.m., dinner 7 p.m. Tickets: $125 per person.
The guest speaker will be Derek Fraser, former Ambassador of Canada in Ukraine and Chief Observer, UWC Observation Mission to the 2012 Parliamentary Election in Ukraine.
Today, the UWC has member organizations in 33 countries and ties with Ukrainians in 14 additional countries. UWC actively contributes to the development of a strong, flourishing, united Ukrainian community and, in cooperation with Ukrainian communities, promotes Ukraine’s democracy and European integration.
