Retaliation à la russe: Russian hackers attack German websites

A Russian hacker group has attacked German websites in response to the German decision to supply tanks to Ukraine, Tagesschau reported on Wednesday.

The DDoS attack affected several websites, including those of the federal government and Hamburg Airport.

In November, Russian hackers attacked the EU Parliament after it passed a resolution officially describing Russia as a “state sponsor of terrorism,” and it was not the first time Russia resorted to this sort of retaliation for what it did not like in European policies.
