Ukraine has received the first installments of the $40 billion in aid approved by the United States, according to the embassy’s press service.
“As part of the $40 billion package signed by President Biden on May 21, direct support of $1 billion has already arrived,” said Bridget Brink, the newly appointed US Ambassador to Ukraine.
According to Brink, another $7.5 billion is on the way. The diplomat added that the issue of accelerating the provision of additional assistance to Ukraine is currently being considered.
