On 23 March 2014 in Kyiv, Ukraine, Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) President Eugene Czolij met with Patriarch Filaret of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church Kyivan Patriarchate.
The meeting included discussions of such current events as the crisis in Ukraine, the pressure exerted on a Ukrainian priest in Russia and the appropriateness of the recognition by the Ecumenical Patriarch of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Kyivan Patriarchate.
“The Ukrainian World Congress will continue to cooperate with the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Kyivan Patriarchate and defend its interests,” said UWC President Eugene Czolij.
