Ukraine’s Energy Minister Herman Halushchenko and Ambassador of Japan to Ukraine Matsuda Kuninori discussed the readiness of the Japanese side to help with the restoration of critical infrastructure facilities of Ukraine that were damaged or destroyed by the Russians, the Energy Ministry reported on Facebook yesterday.
In particular, the provision of the necessary equipment and facilities is envisaged. Relevant energy projects will be implemented in cooperation with the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
Further, “directions of cooperation for assistance in providing Ukraine with energy carriers during the heating season” were discussed at the meeting.
Herman Halushchenko informed the ambassador about Russians’ systematic attacks on Ukrainian energy infrastructure and the consequences of the destruction.
