Ukrainian community in Antalya (Turkey) installs first Taras Shevchenko monument under the auspices of UWC

In early March, Ukrainian community in Turkey, under the auspices of UWC, installed the first Taras Shevchenko belief in Antalya. The official unveiling is postponed until the quarantine in Turkey is over.

The monument is located in the Ukrainian park Ukrayna kültür parkı. The non-government organization “Ukrainska Rodyna” initiated this project with the support of the Muratpasha district administration of Antalya. Tudora Arnaut translated the extract from the poem from Ukrainian into Turkish. The project has been funded by the Ukrainian community in Antalya, with the support of the local business.
