The World Federation of Ukrainian Women Organizations (WFUWO) and the Ukrainian World Congress (UWC), together with Ukrainian and international partners, invite you to the international online roundtable “Miklouho-Maclay: Between Peoples and Continents.”
The event is dedicated to the 180th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding Ukrainian anthropologist, ethnographer, naturalist, traveler, and humanist Nicholas (Mykola) Mykolayovych Miklouho-Maclay.
The roundtable will take place online on July 17 at 12:00 p.m. Kyiv time. You can register to participate in the event via the following link.
Participants will have the opportunity to learn more about Miklouho-Maclay’s Ukrainian roots and family history, take a virtual museum tour of places associated with his family in Ukraine, and learn about the Australian period of the family’s history and the preservation of the scholar’s legacy.
The event will be the first international gathering in a series dedicated to the 180th anniversary of Miklouho-Maclay’s birth and will mark the beginning of preparations for the International Scientific and Educational Conference, which will take place in the fall of 2026.
