The Association of Friendship Ukraine-Japan NPO Kraiany has opened an exhibition in Tokyo titled “The Happiest Days Will Be When We Feel Peace,” the organizers announced. The exhibition is dedicated to life without war.
“Peace will not come by itself. We must fight for peace, and to achieve it in Ukraine, we need to win! We can bring victory closer together, no matter where we are,” wrote Kraiany.
The exhibition can be visited during office hours at Minato-ku from 08:30 to 17:15 daily, except Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays. The exhibition will run until August 20. Address: 5-25, Shiba-Koen 1-chome, Minato-ku, Tokyo.
The organizers added, “The exhibition features thematic photos and a Children’s Guernica, painted by students from the “Dzhereltse” Ukrainian school. This is part of the international project “Children’s Guernica.” As part of this initiative, children from around the world paint on a canvas measuring 3.5 m × 7.8 m—the same size as Pablo Picasso’s anti-war masterpiece “Guernica.” Since 1995, over 210 peace-themed paintings have been created by children from 45 countries.
The Ukrainian community in Japan is making significant efforts to promote Ukrainian culture and interests, such as organizing festivals, workshops, events, and developing seminars for newcomers.
